Kublai Khan Hoodie

Kublai Khan, the Mongol emperor who was the grandson of Ghengiz Khan, ruled China from 1279 until his death in 1294. Praised in Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem Kubla Khan, Kublai Khan was known for his support of science and the arts and for his lifelong friendship with the Italian explorer Marco Polo. Here, Kublai Khan is depicted with symbols representing his life and legacy: an ancient Mongol shield and swords, two hunting falcons flying majestically, the Mongolian sun symbol soyombo, and, of course, an electric guitar.
