Kuniyoshi Woman with a Cat print. Ukiyo-e from Edo Period Japan. Utagawa Kuniyoshi frequently featured cats in his ukiyo-e woodblock printings. Woman with a cat features a Japanese woman in traditional nineteenth-century Edo period dress holding a big white and cream coloured cat. Behind her stands a painting of a fisherman battling a giant octopus on the ocean and two red emblems featuring Japanese kanji.
