Kuvianak Innovia - Ice Edge Polar Bear Ceramic Ornament

A peaceful moment in the long Arctic night. A Polar Bear rests at the edge of an open area in the pack ice. The Northern Lights glow in the distance; bright stars twinkle overhead. Inuktitut text reading "Kuvianak Innovia" (ᑯᕕᐊᓇᒃ+ᐃᓄᕕᐊ - Merry Christmas), in the syllabic alphabet adopted in Nunavut, also appears in glowing blue and white. The Inuit are commonly referred to as Eskimo, but that term is now disfavored as it is considered to be pejorative. Polar bears are endangered. How much longer will scenes like this be able to occur?
