Lahiff’s Tavern Matchbook T-Shirt

Based on the 1930 Matchbook of Lahiff’s Tavern on W. 48TH Street in NYC. This tavern was owned during Prohibition by my great uncle Billy Lahiff also known as Broadway Billy. His Tavern was the place to gather for the stars and sports figures of the 1930’s. Ed Sullivan hung out there as a young cub reporter along with Jack Dempsey and early film stars Nancy Carroll and Barbara Stanwyck. Billy’s place was raided numerous times, but never shut down. It later became Manny’s Music.

I really liked the design of this t-shirt and the play of words on the theme of one of my fav TV series! Plus there is a panda and the sushi rolls are in order too! It's an awesome shirt and i got some nice compliments wearing it, so deffo a win win purchase! :) I also opted for the bella+canvas and the material is quite nice on that one. The combination of the print with the navy blue t-shirt colour works really well and pops out quite nicely.
