Lake willoughby Vermont Oil Painting Canvas Print

This Stretched canvas print is based on an original oil painting I did en plein air at Lake Willoughby in Vermont. I was a bit intimidated by the large bank of clouds that I expected to keep drastically morphing making it impossible to paint. Luckily they stuck around long enough for me to capture the lighting effects and forms. The wind was blowing quite hard in that April day so I had to paint it from the driver seat of my car. This lake is impressive any time of year and any lighting condition but this day was special as it was my birthday and I almost didn't want to go paint that day. This painting is one of the first in my new line of paintings for my new art venture "Edge of Nature Studio".
