This postcard from downeast Maine shows the natural land bridge that connects Bar Harbour to Bar Island exposed at low tide. You have a limited amount of time to cross and explore the island before high tide returns submerging this crossing agains. Beautiful smooth black stones are scattered all over the sandbar as well as shells and other interesting things from under the sea.
