Landscape with Castle Ruins and Horse Riders Pillowcase
This design features a painting by the German artist Karl Friedrich Lessing (1808–1880). It shows an atmospheric landscape with great gusts of wind. There is a train of horses being ridden across a bridge and an old dirt path in a rural wilderness. There is tree that is leaning in the wind. A small ruined castle sits on a hall in the background. The sky is blue but very cloudy. The horses have coats of different colours, and many of them are tied together, to protect them from the wind. The original artwork was painted by Karl Lessing in 1878.
