Lonely Baby Orangutan

A tiny infant orangutan sits in her little sleeping nest at the infant section of the OFI Care Centre. She is not alone for long because round-the-clock human caretakers hold, feed, soothe, and rock them, trying to provide reassurance to these little orphans. You can see the baby gripping the back of the big towel. This is literally the baby's security blanket, since in the wild, the babies hold on to their mothers as they move through the trees. Rebecca Reeder has written guest editorials for the official Orangutan Foundation International blog, is a volunteer at the Care Centre, and donates 100% of her profits from the sale of this item to support the Care Centre!

Looked great and was perfect for my Nana's 99th it arrived super quick so much quicker than sending the original from the other side of the world!
