The lotus flower represents purity and beauty, as well as rebirth. The flower arises from the mud in a perfect state. Dragonflies are symbolic of change, particularly in regard to self-realisation and a deeper understanding of life. This work has its origin in the idea that often our lives bring darkness and difficult times, but eventually we emerge back into the light with a deeper understanding of ourselves and greater emotional maturity.
