Louisiana Heron, 1834, From the Birds of America Poster
This is a remastered reproduction version of the Louisiana Heron, 1834, Plate CCXVII, based on the series “Birds of America” by John James Audubon (1785 - 1851). The illustration shows the adult male Louisiana Heron. Robert Havell (1793 - 1878) engraved, printed and coloured the original version. Creating the original vintage prints employed hand-coloured engraving techniques and the aquatint process on Whatman wove paper. The original Birds of America book is very expensive because of the limited number of original books published and their popularity. The bookplates are incredible and awe-inspiring classics. This version has been digitally remastered and enhanced. Vibrant colours were introduced to this enhanced version.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
