"Luckie" T-Shirt

In the early 1940s, this was the Lucky Strike package that everyone knew. During WWII the cigarette company created an ad campaign announcing, "Lucky Strike Green Has Gone to War" and changed the package background to white. Their claim was that green paint was needed for uniforms, jeeps and tanks. Another theory maintains that the colour green did not go well with women's clothing and that's why the colour was changed. In those days they were just getting women to start smoking.
