Lux Occulta - Hidden Light Classic Round Sticker

I call it "Lux Occulta." Ouroboros, the self-devouring snake, coiled about an Elder Futhark runic circle, with an enclosed chaos star with bearing an inverted pentagram and lightning-bolt styled "sig" rune. Ouroboros represents serpentine wisdom, the cycle of time, and the Nietzschean concept of eternal recurrence. The Elder Futhark is the oldest form of the runic alphabet, used by the Germanic tribes. In Norse mythology, Odin sacrificed himself, to his own self, along with a single eye for the knowledge of the runes. In the myth, he hanged for nine days and nights, pierced by a spear, on Yggdrasil -- gazing into the eternal well. Unlike the Judeo-Christian sacrifice for sin, Odin revealed the secrets of the gods -- like Prometheus -- for humanity. The chaos star is typically used to represent infinite potential. Like many symbols, it has its roots in true fiction. It was adopted for use by the Chaos hordes in Warhammer, and Chaos magicians who use the concept of magic as a fictional psychodrama. The inverted pentagram is not really "inverted" at all. The pentagram was originally single-point down. In Wicca, it stands for a stage where one must confront their individual darkness; whereas in other belief systems, it represents the triumph of the carnal over the spiritual, and the Left Hand Path. The Sig rune represents strength. It was used in Nordic cultures, such as the Vikings. It was co-opted for use by the NSDAP (Nazi party) for use with the Schutzstaffel (SS) when doubled. Anton LaVey's personal signet also was an inverted pentagram with a sig rune. On this image, a glow effect was added for emphasis.
