Bright colors, stiffer, more stable, and easier to work with than cutting a strip of wool tartan if all you want is a border. Brighter and shinier than wool, of course. So bear that in mind when ordering. For some projects this will be a better choice than wool, and a perfect embellishment, but for others not so much. Just plan ahead.
