Magnificent Frigatebird, Front/Reverse Artwork # 3 T-Shirt

Magnificent Frigatebird (Fregata magnificens). When I saw this exceptional portrait, I was inspired to create 8 t-shirt options, highlighting the beauty of the image. Going further, I researched all of the maritime realms where this species is found. You'll see them in the Western Hemisphere; North and South of The Equator. I worked on special posts to accommodate the garments. Each description is focused on very specific geographic/geopolitical regions where the sleek, aerodynamically structured birds are established. This time, I list 2 definitive areas, South and North: The first describes their domains in the archipelago of the Leeward Antilles; the most Southwest extension of the Lesser Antilles, included among the West Indies of the Caribbean Sea. The Leeward Antilles outline a large percentage of the Northern oceanic shorelines of South America, concentrated in the periphery of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. I also chose a different course, set towards prominent islands to the North, in the Gulf of Mexico. Every one of these islands is significant. Many feature birds, flowers, mammals, reptiles, fish and amphibians found nowhere else in the world. For this journey with the Magnificent Frigatebird, we begin along Venezuela's Northern coastlines. Rising above the waves North and Northeast from Paraguana Peninsula in Falcon State, Venezuela, the ABC Islands come into view. Collectively, they are the Kingdom of the Netherlands Constituent Countries of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. East and Southeast from Bonaire, many Venezuelan destinations for birds exist like a bracelet of archipelagos. In succession, each is designated as a Dependencia Federal Archipielago. They are, Archipielago Las Aves, Los Roques Parque Nacional, and further East from here, seabirds encounter Isla La Blanquilla, the Islas Los Hermanos and Islas Los Testigos. Across the currents, due Southwest are the Islas Los Frailes and the larger Isla De Margarita, incorporated as the State of Nueva Esparta, with smaller satellite islands. From Macanao Peninsula, Isla De Margarita's most Western limit, the final Venezuelan island refuge for Magnificent Frigatebirds is Isla La Tortuga, with no people in residence. Birds, sea turtles and other wildlife have it all to themselves. From the Frigatebird's perspective, this grand tour of the Leeward Antilles is done. The flight paths are set further North, across the Gulf of Mexico, to the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. This unincorporated Territory of the United States of America is, like all other islands I mentioned, significant to numerous seabirds. West from Puerto Rico, the substantial Island of Hispaniola ascends above the horizon. Two nations govern here: The Eastern, Eastern Central and Midwest sectors are the Dominican Republic. The Western portion is the Republic of Haiti. The Frigatebirds know every seashore of both countries. The Tiburon Peninsula is Haiti's great extension, gesturing West to the Island nation of Jamaica. The influence of this British Commonwealth Realm is known around the world. For seabirds, it's another favored home. They also venture Northwest from here, for the British Overseas Territory of the Cayman Islands. North of the Cayman Islands and Jamaica, the 17th-largest island in the world stretches across the Longitude: The Republic of Cuba, with additional satellite islands. Flying Northeast, the Inagua Islands are the most Southern District of the British Commonwealth Realm of the Monarchy of The Bahamas. In the Northeast distance, the British Overseas Territory of the Turks and Caicos Islands appear. So many destinations, and all are known to the Frigatebirds. Our last stop, Northwest of The Bahamas, includes the United States of America. In this instance, emphasis is on the State of Florida's South and Southwest coast and the Florida Keys, numbering approximately 1,700 islands, satellite islands, smaller islets, coral reefs, atolls and shoals. Their Florida range continues in Everglades National Park, Cape Romano-Ten Thousand Islands, Sanibel Island, Cayo Costa, Pine Island and more. So many faraway places, many described in songs, poems and literature. For long distance seagoing birds, these locations are sanctuaries. This is where they rest, sleep, preen, mate, construct a nest, raise a future generation. Every one of these islands, whether impressive or very small, have a vital role in the balance of life. ** Regarding the illustration, I researched the correct age, gender, English and scientific names of this bird, and carefully put the information at the lower border. It was essential that the words compliment, not disrupt from the marvelous imagery you see. You can always have this design for a sweatshirt, hoodie, poster, greeting card, paper plates, gift wrapping paper, drinking mug, magnet and much more. Zazzle makes it possible.

I give wanted to give this a 4 instead of a 5 because these Basic DARK T0shirts run unexpectedly SLIM or Narrow. Which is great if you do not have a potbelly, but I have a paunch. It isn't the shirt's fault that I've got a beer belly. The design and shirt itself is a quality cotton shirt. The color is more of a deep purple, but still a very pretty color. The Basic DARK T-shirts run a bit SLIMMER than the Basic Ts. The neck is a fraction narrower (or seems to be narrower) also. I'm a paunchy middle-aged woman and my neck is 12 inches (31cm) thick and the neckline fell about the same as in the photo of the man, and I had the desire to tug it a bit. So if you're a thick necked man or like loose shirts, be aware these are slimmer shirts. Once I get rid of my lockdown paunch it'll look great. The shirt washed well in cold water with no apparent bleeding. We don't have a dryer, so it hung dry. Did not shrink. Love the colors and the design. The design looks smaller on my shirt than it does on the model on-line. But still, it looks good on the shirt. The printing looks as it does on the model, just the size seems fractionally smaller. Washed garment in cold water, hung dry and design appeared unaffected.
