Demonstrating his great sense of fun, Leonard Bernstein placed a “Mahler Grooves” bumper sticker on the first page of music in his conducting score of Mahler’s Symphony No. 6 which is now maintained in the New York Philharmonic’s Archives. The Archives logo is a modified nineteenth-century stamp that was used to identify all music owned by the Orchestra.
