This is a Male Eastern Hercules Beetle (Dynastes tityus) the big pincers in front (its horns) separate it from the females. The spots on its back vary from one to the other to make each unique. Mouse over the beetle to see how detailed the photograph is. You can see individual hairs on its mouth and legs. A special thanks to Daniel Marlos for helping me identify this beetle!

I needed a mouse mat for my desk at home that would stay put and not take up much space. This does the job perfectly. The fabric on top is soft and the rubbery bit is nice and thick, which is comfortable on the hand and wrist. Exactly as expected. Print is crisp with no bleeding.
