The Kowhaiwhai pattern is made up of koru, Māori for "loop", a spiral shape based on the shape unfurling silver fern frond, which symbolises new life, growth, strength and peace. Kowhaiwhai designs are traditionally used to decorate Maori wharenui (meeting houses).

This was purchased as part of a 40th Birthday present for my nephew who is going to Vegas. It is made of high quality, very study and we decided only to put his name on the back of the tag, but you can add a full address if you so wish.
