Martin Schongauer Annunciation angel Orlier altar Poster
Poster inspired by Martin Schongauer's beautiful and festive Annunciation angel, painted on one of the outer wings of the Orlier altarpiece, ca 1470-75.
The artist was deeply influenced by the growing cult of the Virgin Mary, so the Annunciation was one of his favourite subjects. There is a delicacy to the details of the picture, similar to that found found in the artist’s most famous work, the Madonna of the Rose Bower.
The painting shows the angel Gabriel holding a banner with the Annunciation words (Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum), the wings of the angel seems to be made of peacock feathers. The scene takes place before a cloth of honour, red with intricate golden details.
The image has been digitally cleaned and enhanced. Please note that you can't really enlarge the poster, it is already as big as it can get (17.75" x 26.63").

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.

it's very good quality especially for cutting out, i chose too big of a size but thats okay as it still looks really cute on my door :3 and so cheap to print as well thank you.
