This vintage look button badge is for supporters of independence for Scotland from the United Kingdom Westminster government. The design shows Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots, from Lodge's portrait of the doomed queen in Sir Walter Scott's book, Tales of a Grandfather, published in Edinburgh in 1869. As everyone knows, Mary, who was brought up in France, fled to England seeking sanctuary only to be imprisoned then beheaded by order of Queen Elizabeth I. Beside Mary is the word Oui! This is a reference to the 2014 referendum when Scots will vote on Scottish independence. If Mary were alive today, I think she'd vote Yes! You can change the pink background colour to suit by using the customise button.
