Matsukawabishi Golf Towel

The design is based on the 'Matsukawabishi' or 'pine bark diamond' pattern. The book 'Monsho' (Crests) written by Masami Takeda in 1925 describes the diamond shape as being formed by combining two equilateral triangles. However, it also notes that using this shape as is can result in a crest that appears too short and weak. Therefore, an alternative method for creating the diamond shape is explained. The Matsukawabishi and Sankai-bishi crests are actually created based on the geometric diamond shape rather than the crest diamond shape.
