Horio Meyui Tea Towel
The Horio family is said to be a descendant of the Takashina clan and lived in Kugose, Owari. Shigematsu Horio, who served under Hideyoshi during the Fujiroku era, later became Yoshiharu. Yoshiharu fought in every battle alongside Hideyoshi and achieved great merit, starting as the lord of Takahama Castle in Wakasa Province in 1583, then progressing to Sawayama Castle in Omi Province and Hamamatsu Castle in Totomi Province, eventually ruling over 120,000 koku. In his later years, Hideyoshi promoted him to one of the three senior officials, known as San-Churo, ranking just below the Five Elders. After Yoshiharu, his son Tadaaki succeeded him. During the Battle of Sekigahara, Tadaaki sided with the Eastern Army, and after the war, his domain was expanded to Matsue in Izumo Province, doubling his stipend to 240,000 koku. However, he died without an heir, and the family line came to an abrupt end in 1634.

They absorb so well and wash up really nicely not losing their colour at all. They are expensive but in my opinion they are well worth the money. Yes they turned out perfectly to match my new kitchen
