Merlin T-Shirt

During the Middle Ages, the Merlin was also known by European falconers as the Lady Hawk, as many noblewomen used these Falcons to hunt other small birds. Agile in the air and very fast, the Merlin is an expert hunter. The elegant design was done by British ornithologist/artist John Gould (1804 - 1881). I customized the image by enlarging it, for greater viewing and visual impact. Complimenting the birds, I took care in placing the word Merlin into the t-shirt, so others would discover what Falcon this is. I'm pleased that Zazzle has a good number of John Gould's 19th Century lithographs available for Falcons, Hawks, Eagles, Owls and other birds, most of which can also be placed on t-shirts. I hope they will add more to the inventory! The finished printing job looks really fine!

The T-shirt is great quality! The cotton is thick and does not lose its shape. I bought this as a gift last Christmas and since then it has been washed many times and I haven't seen any stretching or tears. The size fits perfectly. The printing is excellent. The colours and the design were exactly as shown in the picture. One year after, it hasn't faded due to washing.
