Mesa Arch, Canyonlands National Park Poster

Mesa Arch is one of the many stunning features of Canyonlands National Park in eastern Utah. Here the sunrise glows orange on the underside of Mesa Arch with a view of buttes and other rock formations beyond. Snow dusts a few fallen branches. Canyonlands is a desert a wilderness of countless canyons and fantastically formed buttes carved by the Colorado River and its tributaries. Rivers divide the park into four districts: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze, and the rivers themselves. Mesa Arch is on the Island in the sky mesa, with its sheer sandstone cliffs over 1,000 feet above the surrounding terrain. Every overlook offers a different perspective on Canyonlands' spectacular landscape.
