The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo Masterpiece Painting - The Creation of Adam is one of the most famous paintings in the world, created by master artist Michelangelo in Rome. The Creation of Adam is a classic fresco that Michelangelo painted in Rome's Vatican, on the Sistine Chapel, in 1511–1512. The painting shows the almost-touch of the hands, between God and Adam. The image is an iconic Renaissance painting. Michelangelo shows God as an old white-haired and white-bearded man, wearing a long white garment. Both God and Adam have their arms outstretched to each other, as if God is generating a spark of life into the new man Adam. The Michelangeo painting shows Man's likeness to God, showing God created humans in his own image.
