About This Design
Michelangelo's Study of a Libyan Sibyl Tea Towel
Libyan Sibyl Study (1511) is a vintage Renaissance Era fine art in red chalk drawing that Michelangelo (1475–1564) created before completing the fresco on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. This sketch is one of the finest surviving examples of Michelangelo's many drawings for the Sistine ceiling. Ironically, Michelangelo used a male model on which to base this study, the finished painting was of a woman. The sibyl is suspended in a dramatically twisted pose, or contrapposto.

I was delighted with the beautiful tea towels, the design looked really lovely. I adore garden ponds and these towels and other products I ordered with the same design will bring me so much pleasure. My garden is too small for a real pond. If you love ponds and wildlife this design is for you!

They absorb so well and wash up really nicely not losing their colour at all. They are expensive but in my opinion they are well worth the money. Yes they turned out perfectly to match my new kitchen
