This is Mile Marker 13 on the Utah Highway #163, just north of the Arizona State Line. I had to the idea to drive up here after touring the Monument Valley because i knew that this fabulous vista was waiting. However, my wife did not, and as we continued to drive north for no obvious reason she started to become a little agitated. That was until told her to take a look in the rear view mirror of the car - my was she surprised. My one regret is that we didn't stay a little longer and move out into thr scrub a little before taking the shot.
