Miyamoto Musashi, c. 1800's Key Ring

Miyamoto Musashi, c. 1800's Key Ring

Miyamoto Musashi, c. Edo Period Miyamoto Musashi (1584-1645) Shinmen Musashi no Kami Fujiwara no Genshi, or as he is better known "Miyamoto Musashi," was one of the greatest warriors to ever live. He won his first duel at the young age of twelve (thirteen by the old Japanese system, twelve by our modern way of determining someones age). He fought an adult, professionally trained samurai. At twelve, brandishing only a stick, he defeated and killed the adult samurai who came at him with a real sword. Throughout his life, he became so confident in his abilities he often used a crude stick to dispatch his enemies who were trying to kill him with razor sharp swords. During his lifetime he fought in over sixty life or death duels, never once losing. He also participated in at least six wars, usually fighting at the front leading the army into battle. It might be surprising to note that he was also an accomplished painter, sculptor, and poet. His works are priceless and are kept in museums to this day. On May 19th, 1645 Shinmen Musashi no Kami Fujiwara no Genshi died at the age of sixty-one from natural causes.

Metal Circle Keychain, 2"
Very poor quality. Almost unreadable to the naked eye, imafes on store are much clearer, very misleading.
