Moat to Gardens Postcard
I visited the garden of Guildford Castle numerous times during my stay in the beautiful town of Guildford in Surrey, UK. This town and its history still fascinates me to this day. This castle is believed to have been founded by William the Conqueror after the 1066 invasion of England. While primarily a royal residence the castle stood through warfare. Like many historical sites, the landscape has undergone transformation; and just as graveyards go to flowers, the surrounding moat is now a beautiful garden.
