quince tie

Mokko (lit. "wood melon") is also called yokoboke and is the most commonly used among the boke family crests. According to "The Encyclopedia of Family Crests" by Takasawa et al., wood sorrel, boke, and hawk feathers are considered the three major family crests, while according to "The Basics of Surnames and Family Crests" by Niwa Motoji, wisteria, boke, and wood sorrel are the top three. / Reference 1: The boke crest was originally called "kuwa" and was introduced from China as a clothing pattern. It became a misu (blind) maku (hanging curtain) pattern, and was used as a standard, becoming known as the misu maku crest. Eventually, the "misu" character was dropped, and the "maku" character was used, with the characters "wood" and "melon" applied to it. (The character "窠" means "nest," and while a nest in a tree is called a "sou," a nest on the ground is called a "窠." The character "窠" was used for the pattern because its shape resembles a nest containing eggs.) / Reference 2: The boke crest originated from a pattern on the "mokou" (a cloth or fabric) that was wrapped around the periphery of a blind. It is generally believed to be a misinterpretation that it is shaped like a cross-section of a Japanese quince or cucumber.

Very happy with 1) quality of the print 2) quality & cut of the tie 3) speed of manufacturing 4) communication & 5) delivery to UK. I discovered the product just 2 weeks before a wedding so had to use the express delivery but it arrived within days so I could relax. My first experience of this seller & Zazzle and both were great .

I wasn't sure what to expect but was excited to have a tie for my husband which matched my wedding attire. A super easy process taking a photo of my dress and uploading it to the website. I waited in anticipation not knowing how it would turn out. I couldn't believe the quality, its excellent. The print, pattern and colour is strong and vibrant. I have uploaded a photo but its difficult to see the tie against the dress because the quality is exceptional. I would have no hesitation using this company again.
