Monet Japanese Bridge with Water Lilies mug. Oil painting on canvas from 1899. Monet painted the Japanese style bridge above his water lily pond at Giverny multiple times throughout his long career. This is one of the most famous of Monet’s Japanese Bridge paintings. The work features the bridge at mid morning with the sun streaming down upon the light green lily pads and pink lily flowers blooming in the pond below. The bridge itself is soft green and blue.
