San Giorgio Maggiore al Crepuscolo, or San Giorgio Maggiore at Dusk is one of a series of paintings done by artist Claude Monet, of the most fabulous sunset in Venice. This is a famous Impressionist painting by Claude Monet painted in 1908. The painting was done in oil on canvas as Monet was viewing the San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice from his waterfront hotel Venice window. The impressionist painting of the Venice sunset shows the Venetian cathedral and bell tower that are located on the Venice island at sunset. San Giorgio Maggiore al Crepuscolo is sometimes called Dusk in Venice, San Giorgio Maggiore by Twilight and Sunset in Venice. The impressionist painting of sunset was painted in the colours of a brilliant sunset - bright orange, yellow, and a ribbon of blue fading in the sky.

Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
