A classic artwork that has passed into the public domain and makes wonderful gifts and other products. "Impression, Sunrise" is Impressionism's eponymous work. The name of the artistic movement was derived from the title when critics distastefully referred to it as embodying a trend which they disapproved of. Claude Monet (1840-1826) was one of the founders of French impressionist movement. He is perhaps most noted for his paintings of lilies and water.
