A mother giraffe lovingly nuzzles her new baby, bordered by a golden yellow heart. Realistic artwork created from an original oil painting by wildlife and equine artist Crista S. Forest. In this piece I wanted to use light and shape to form 'hearts' representing a mother's love for her child. The shape of the mother giraffe's arched neck forms one 'heart' and the shape of the lighting on her rump forms a second 'heart' in the image.
