There is a reason why the people of Washington State call Mount Rainier, "The Mountain". On any clear day you can see Mount Rainier from miles and miles away. In places it looks tiny, in other places it fills the entire sky. It stands taller than any mountain surrounding it at 14,409 feet. Lenticular Clouds are a fairly common occurance on or near the mountain. And it is awe inspiring just to gaze at it. I took this photograph near Grapeview, WA.
