This design features a painting by the Norwegian expressionist artist Edvard Munch (1863–1944). It is a portrait of a woman called Helene Schwarz, made when the artist was staying in Berlin, Germany. Helene Schwarz was the wife of Georg Schwarz, who was a consultant to the Cassirer art gallery in Berlin. The original painting was completed in 1906, and it is now housed in the National Gallery, Oslo, Norway.
