This image is a quality reproduction of Alphonse Mucha's famous Art Nouveau poster "Zodiac," also known as "La Plume." "Zodiac" was designed in 1896 as a calendar printed by F. Champenois, Paris. Shortly thereafter, the popular French Magazine "La Plume" purchased the rights to Mucha's illustration. The image was widely popular, and it became synonymous with the Magazine.

Mucha became one of the most sought out artists of the Art Nouveau period, but interestingly, he protested the "Art Nouveau" label, for it was his view that art is eternal and not "new." He strongly preferred his paintings to his posters, but the world has always sought out his posters. His paintings say volumes about the spirit of people and are very important, but for the most part, they are yet to be discovered by the world.

This poster is large and very beautiful, when viewed from afar, but when you get up close you can tell the image resolution is not the best. I like the border and how the artists name is on it, but I was expecting top quality printing. Did not deliver.

My only complaint was I ordered my poster over a month in advance yet it was running late. It was over the holiday season so I understand it gets a little hectic; but I needed the poster for Christmas and it was literally 2-3 days before. I contacted them asking where it was and that I'd like a refund on my shipping if it doesn't make it on time. They ended up rushing the order and it made it on time. On top of that, they were kind enough to refund my shipping costs anyway. The poster was perfect. Mint condition, absolutely nothing wrong with it. The gift was for my dad and he was ecstatic. He'd been asking for this specific poster and recommended this site to get it from. He actually sent me a pic recently with the poster framed and on his wall. The poster is quite pretty in person.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
