Nambu Tsuru Stationery

Nambu Tsuru Stationery

[Nanbuzuru] Tsurumi. The ancestors of the Nanbu family had come to Ou since they could not get out of the idea of Ezo yet. It started when Mitsuyuki NANBU joined the army when Yoritomo subjugated the Hiraizumi-Fujiwara clan, and thanks to his achievements, the base expanded to include one, seven, four, and nine households, centering on the Nukanobu area from the northern part of Iwate Prefecture to Aomori, which was given to Yoritomo. (Omitted) This is said to have occurred when the Akita clan was subjugated in Dewa Province. He was then Taisho (General), Nanbu no Moriyuki. It happened that two Tancho-tsuru (cranes with Tancho) were flying down to the front of the battle, and they were flying up at the edge of the flag several times. He won a great victory on that day, whether it is a sign of auspicious signs that are on the side of Heaven. That is to say, 'Tsuru' was taken up as the crest of Zuisho. Then, Hishidzuru → Tsurunomaru → was changed to Tsuru (Nambu Tsuru). (Refer to "Daimyo no Kamon" written by Kenichi TAKAHASHI.)

This linen paper combined with my design and the printing is more beautiful than I expected. This was a test run which I learned a great deal on (how important it is to wear my glasses!). It feels lovely to the touch; the texture is irresistable, perfect for finely printed wedding invites and announcements. The design is exactly like the photo mock up, the colors, crispness, etc, I couldn't be happier. I recommend customers that make these from scratch to use a template for accurateness of measurements and distances, another valuable lesson learned from my test run!
