Native American petroglyphs photograph from Southern Utah in the Anasazi Canyon. Petroglyphs throughout Utah are said to be from several indigenous cultures, including Navajo and Anasazi. The rocks have desert varnish on them. The petroglyphs are said to be a warning to step back - follow the direction of the feet, facing towards the photographer rather than the steep cliff on the other side. To the right of the feet is a figure of a person which seems to be in a free fall position. Part of our rich heritage, before Columbus "discovered" America.
