The Munich New City Hall, known as the Neues Rathaus in German, is a stunning Gothic Revival building located in the heart of Munich, Germany. Construction of the New City Hall began in 1867 under the guidance of architect Georg von Hauberrisser and was completed in 1908. The building was erected to accommodate the rapidly growing city administration and replace the smaller Old Town Hall. One of its most distinctive features is the towering neo-Gothic facade, which rises to a height of over 300 feet (about 100 metres) and is adorned with intricate sculptures and architectural details. The New City Hall's central tower houses the Glockenspiel, a world-famous musical clock that consists of 43 bells and 32 life-sized figurines.
