New Mexico (US State) Flag Satin Ribbon

This design features the flag of the state of New Mexico, which is in the Southwestern region of the United States. The flag consists a stylised red sun, a symbol used by the indigenous Zia people, on a field of yellow. It was officially introduced in 1925, having been designed in 1920 to celebrate the state's Native American Pueblo and Nuevo México Hispanic roots. The colours evoke the flags of Habsburg Spain (the Cross of Burgundy) and the Crown of Aragon, brought by the conquistadors. The capital city of New Mexico is Santa Fe. Other major cities in New Mexico include Las Cruces, Rio Rancho, Roswell, Farmington, Clovis, Hobbs, Alamogordo and Carlsbad.
