Central Park in New York City is really in the centre of Manhattan. It has been completed in 1873 on a former swampy forestal area called Jones's Wood. The idea was to bring the country into the city and enable the people to walk, wander, do sports and relax. Our painting of the famous ice surface is therefore a perfect implementation of this idea.
