This is a great quote by founding father Thomas Jefferson, isn't it?! A bit tongue in cheek. He must have felt that political parties were overrated and accomplished little. Many people feel that way today. Is there no middle ground? Could he have envisioned the Republican party today? Or the Democratic party? What about Libertarians? The Green Party? Is it worth choosing sides? Are we just fighting against each other, and hence, agains the nation? Perhaps heaven doesn't require party affiliation.
