Nymph Bathing (Beautiful Woman) (by Childe Hassam) Bath Mat
This design features original artwork by the American impressionist painter Childe Hassam (1859–1935). It shows a beautiful nymph bathing in a small pool of water. A nymph is a nature deity in ancient Greek mythology, however, here she appears to be in a contemporary New England landscape. The nymph has stripped off and is tentatively beginning to bathe. She is surrounded by trees with autumnal leaves. The original art was painted in 1904.
