Okavango Delta Travel postcard features a beautiful photograph of a ride in a makoro, a dug out canoe, on the Okavango Delta in Botswana, Africa taken by Kurt Keller with a 35 mm camera while on an African safari in Botswana. A pole man stands in the makoro in front propelling it through the shallow waters of the delta by standing in the stern and pushing with a pole. This stunning photo was taken in 2000, the first year after a 10 year drought. The camp we stayed at had been giving jeep tours the years before at the same place we are now in boats.
