Olive Tree Wood in the Moreno Gardens (by Monet) Ceramic Knob
This design features an artwork by the impressionist painter Claude Monet (1840–1926). It shows a beautiful woodland of olive trees. The Moreno Gardens were a popular tourist attraction in the 19th century; they were located in Bordighera, a town in the north-west of Italy, but only a small portion of the original gardens survive today and they are known as the "Monet gardens", because the French painter produced so much work there. The original painting was completed in 1884.

Refurbishing our kitchen, we re-used some old Mexican drawer knobs we loved, but were short of four, so chose these as they looked as if they would happily co-exist with the old ones - and they do. Colour was very slightly lighter than the picture., but not enough to worry us.
