Orangutan in Army Hat Card

This photo features one of the four-to-five year old male orangutans in orphan jungle school on the island of Borneo, the same Care Centre featured in the IMAX film "Born To Be Wild". This little guy grabbed the hat and placed it on his own head; this is not a staged photo! Like the 350+ other orangutan residents at OFI's Care Centre, he is an orphan being prepared for eventual release into protected areas of the rain forest. All of the orangutans were fascinated with the care giver's old army hat and constantly grabbed it. This is the same hat that caused a much smaller orangutan to dance for joy in the YouTube video
