Orchid Nobility is a painting in traditional Chinese free style (Xie Yi) technique with ink on rice paper.
The orchid used to represent good taste and beauty in Chinese traditional culture. They symbolise elegance, nobility and self-respect. They also belongs to the "Four Gentlemen of Chinese Painting" - the plum blossom, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum and represent one of the four seasons!
Artists are using the same techniques as in calligraphy, therefor the image is not really painted but rather written.
In China the calligraphy always belong to the painting. It’s like the signature from the artist.
This one is without the original calligraphy!

Would be better if you could select several photos at once from your own saved photos to save them on to the website rather than one at a time.
Great quality in fact ordered 2 more of a different photo layout design for Christmas presents. Photos and photos of drawings my young nieces did on this cushion turned out perfect or I should say ‘purrrrrfect’ as they were all photos of their cats

Well made, exceeded expectations in that respect. Printed on a polyester base, which I thought might not look as good as cotton, but it doesn’t have a synthetic feel about it at all. Came out better than expected, exactly as the image I’d selected, which was a stock image, not one I’d uploaded myself. Very satisfied with colours, brightness, clarity.
