Protect your Apple laptop in this Neoprene Laptop Sleeve with this traditional asanoha fabric pattern. The background is a moss green called matsuba.
A traditional Japanese herb leaves stencil pattern in traditional Japanese colours, matsuba. The Asanoha is in a hexagonal shape, and that is the reason why this pattern is called as such. Popular during the Edo period and still in demand today.
This kind of pattern is often used on fabric for yukata or a jinbei, traditional Japanese clothes for in the hot summer months. But I have seen the pattern also used as part of a kimono.
When you think of this type of fabric, resist dyeing comes to mind. In Japan vintage techniques are roketsuzome with wax, katazome, yuzen and tsutsgaki with rice paste. A favourite method of applying paste is by means of a stencil.

The quality of the product is very good and I am overall happy with it. The only issue I have is that the background colour, behind the logo, is a different colour to the preview I saw before I ordered. In the preview it looked black, however, on arrival it is more of a grey and a different colour to the back of the sleeve. This does not fully reflect our corporate colours.

I paid extra to recieve the item before christmas as it was meant to be a gift . It didn't recieve it before Christmas and when it came I had to pay customs tax of £11.16 to recieve it. It doesn't say that on the payment for the item. I would never of ordered it had I known I needed to pay additional money on top. Zazzle should inform customers if they are ordering items that they would have this additional cost. Printing was ok but not for the additional payment I had to make to recieve the item.
