The original Gay Pride Rainbow Flag consisted of eight stripes and was designed in 1978 by San Francisco artist Gilbert Baker, who also assigned specific meaning to each of the colours: Hot pink: sexuality Red: life Orange: healing Yellow: sunlight Green: nature Turquoise: magic/art Indigo/blue: serenity/harmony Violet: spirit Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender...
