The original still life pastel painting on this customisable phone case is titled “The make-Up Bag” because that’s exactly what it is. I painted it in the mid 1980's, I couldn’t resist painting the picture when I saw all my well used and well worn-out make-up just spilling out of the floral make up bag. It was old make-up but I thought the painting would be a good record of the 80's period in my life, funny how each piece of make has a little memory to it. So, from the grubby and dirty piece of cotton wool to the powder compact and eye shadow, everything was used by me at some time, that lipstick was soooooo red!
